Current Volunteer Trainings

Between Families: Book Discussion 
CASACD Volunteer Educational Meeting.  Between Families is a realistic account of a 12-year-old girl’s coming of age from a life of chaos and later in an institution. It examines issues of institutionalization, shame, abuse, sexual abuse, family, addictions, and identity.  August 12th from 5:30-8 at Dillon Community Church  Please RSVP.

Trauma 101 by Dr. James Henry
Free! August 20, 2015 from 9am – 4pm.  Colorado Mountain College – Edwards Campus.  Lecture Hall.  Understanding the impact of trauma.  Please RVSP to Michelle at Michelle.Dibos@eaglecounty.us

Nonprofit Educational Seminar – August 6
“Crucial Conversations” focuses on cutting through behavior that can impede both personal and progressional productivity.  Born out of “The 7 Habits for Highly Effective People”  Colorado Mountain College – Edwards from 10-11:30am August 6, 2015 $10.  RSVP to maren@visitvailvalley.com

August Lunchtime Learning: Compassion Fatigue
The Summit County Lunchtime Learning is returning. Our next event will be on Wednesday, July 29nd at 12:00pm in the Ten Mile Room of the Medical Office Building on the hospital campus in Frisco. This learning series is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about subjects specific to behavioral health and is presented by mental health professionals in your community.

Summit/Lake/Clear Creek Counties- Meet at the CASA office; conference room 101: Wednesday August 5 from 10am-12pm and Wednesday August 19 from 5pm-7pm
Eagle County- Meet at the Avon Library; small meeting room:  Tuesday August 11 from 5pm-7pm, Monday August 17 from 10am-12pm and Tuesday August 25 from 10am-12pm 

Hannah:
August 6th from  3:00-5:00 in CASA 101

August 20th from 10-noon in CASA 101
